Job Title: PNC Bureau Operations Manager
Salary: The starting salary is £57,301 which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £54,460 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £66,356 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Sidcup
The PNC Bureau is an operational strand with the Referencing and Vetting (R&V) Operational Command Unit (OCU). It is responsible for maintaining, updating and reviewing all information on the police national computer relevant to the Met Police district area within set time constraints imposed by national PNC policy and legislation.
- We are seeking an exceptional operational manager to join our team and lead the PNCB function. and contribute to the wider leadership of R&V
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the effective operation of PNCB services to deliver SLAs and meet customer expectations.
- Monitoring and control of business processes, policy and systems to ensure delivery of effective and efficient performance
- Effective management of demand and impact on performance.
- Management of relationships with stakeholders including Criminal Justice Offender Management Service (CJOMS), Met Detention, HR, DDaT, Learning and Development, Met Prosecutions, Met Intel, Merlin User Group.
- Manage and drive business change across the PNCB to drive efficiency, improve quality through innovative service enhancements, operational developments, process re-engineering and technology enhancement
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards including Health and Safety, HR guidelines and policy
- Line management for three members of the PNCB SLT, second line management for ten Band D Team Leaders and leadership management of 71 Band E staff
- Development and strengthening of the PNCB leadership through mentoring/coaching and upskilling
- Act as a deputy to the Senior Operations Manager where required
- Responsible for directing spend within agreed budget as delegated by the R&V Senior Operations Manager.
