As the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Scientific Support Services, West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a Regional Exhibit Management Officer. Based at the Exhibit Management Unit within Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS), the role will be located at Calder Park, Wakefield. One full-time post is currently available working to a 37-hour week.

The role is responsible for providing a comprehensive forensic exhibit management service through the handling of casework exhibits received via the 4 Police Forces within the Yorkshire and the Humber region. By effectively managing casework exhibits, the continuity of records and the recording of the transfer of exhibits, the main aim is to ensure that the integrity and continuity of evidence is maintained.

Eligible candidates will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, previous experience of working in an office environment - working with exhibit handling, and a working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to provide biometric samples (fingerprints and DNA) for inclusion on the respective Police elimination databases. This is for routine speculative searching purposes.
