Opportunity Description

A great opportunity has arisen to join the Mobile Communications team as an Administrator within the BCH (Beds, Cambs & Herts) ICT Department, based at Cambridgeshire HQ.  Join the exciting and dynamic world of policing and contribute towards making Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire and a safer place.

This opportunity is working with our Radio, Mobile Phone and Bodyworn camera fleets, providing critical communications and safety to front line officers. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in ICT who would like to join a dynamic team.  The hiring force for this role will be Bedfordshire but the role will be mostly Cambridgeshire based.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • 1st line assessment, repair and configuration for the radio, mobile phone and BWV device fleet.
  • Manage open calls and resolve where possible.
  • Asset the engineers in audits, updates and projects.

Police Barred and Advisory lists

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
