Location: Various locations throughout the County

Days/Times of required availability: Minimum time commitment of two hours a week. With the ability to make themselves available as soon as other commitments permit.

Purpose: The role of a Community Engagement Support Volunteer will assist Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers and members of Police Staff/Crime Commissioner Staff by supporting local events within the community. The Volunteer will be required to: 

  • Distribute leaflets containing information regarding crime initiatives and local or Force wide information to residential addresses and business premises as required
  • Engage with the community whilst representing the Force at local events held within Police premises or at alternate venues
  • Support with the barrier at Police Headquarters to allow guests into Force led events and engage with guests as they enter the premises
