Intelligence Clerk

The Intelligence Clerk processes newly submitted intelligence, evaluating the quality of reports, linking to the Intel database and disseminating against agreed policies and procedures within the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB).

Main Activities of the Role

Receipt and assessment of information and maintenance of record management systems, ensuring that there is an effective record management and audit trail

Process newly submitted intelligence, evaluating the quality of reports, linking to the Intel database and disseminating against agreed policies and procedures

Input accurate, timely information and intelligence onto a range of IT systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy regarding data management and security

Provide advice and guidance to officers and staff from around the Forces in respect of intelligence submissions

Disseminate intelligence/ information, where required, in line with national standards, to support and ongoing operations and aid with achievement of forces policing objectives. Provide general departmental support to Intelligence Support Officers in the CIB, and contribute to the efficient running of the Bureau.

Undertake a range of administrative activities, to assist the department in meeting its objectives.

Adhere to all legal frameworks, key working principles, policies and guidance relevant to the role.

Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management.
