Partnership Crime Prevention and Reduction Advisor (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant promoting the role of crime prevention in the rural community and engaging with partners to increase interactions with residents of isolated rural communities.

The successful applicant will be expected to visit victims of rural crime and assess opportunities to target harden locations. They will also be expected to organise community events to highlight security measures and to increase engagement between Police, Partners and members of isolated rural communities.

You must have a good standard of education, excellent literacy and numeric skills, and the ability to take minutes with good communication skills. Proven interpersonal skills are essential together with an ability to promote professional working relationships with personnel at all levels.

Must have capability to travel to different locations across the LPA and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
