Police Chaplaincy Volunteer - Forcewide
Could you make a valuable difference to those who need support in times of need?
Are you able to provide practical and spiritual care regardless of faith or background?
We are seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join the team of Police Chaplaincy Volunteers.
The Volunteer Chaplains support officers, staff and their families through times of crisis or need and offer pastoral care services to the Constabulary in general. There are situations that affect officers, staff and their families which vary tremendously and can be emotionally traumatic. In each of these unique situations the chaplaincy seeks to respond with empathy.
You will need to be able to reflect spiritual and ethical values, offering support to all regardless of faith or background.
Your own welfare and wellbeing is important to us and support is available, if needed.
As an organization we are caring, inclusive, courageous and committed to learning. Our values guide the way we behave, the decisions we make and how we treat people.
This is a long term volunteering commitment within your local community. Volunteer Chaplains are normally attached to a specific unit or department, or serve at a particular location, but we cannot guarantee that a vacancy will be available in your
locality.
