Contingency, Operations & Events Planning Officer
The principal responsibility of the Contingency, Operations & Events Planner is to support the Force and the community it serves by:
- Researching, co-ordinating, preparing, distributing, exercising, reviewing, and updating all key operational, business continuity and emergency planning requirements on behalf of Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police.
- Work in Safety Advisory Groups with key partners and stakeholders to provide appropriate advice and ensure the efficient and effective use of police resources within core responsibilities.
- Identify and manage operational threats and risks, ensuring the appointment of appropriate command structures. Maintain a calendar of force-wide events and operations to facilitate resource demand planning.
