The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in the reopening of front desks across Devon & Cornwall.
You will be required to cover Crownhill, Devonport (Chapel Street) and Tavistock.
Duties include to supervise a team of Police Enquiry Officers (Front Counter Team), (PEOs) ensuring the highest quality service is provided for all visitors to our Police Enquiry Offices, so as to improve the public's confidence in the services provided, enhance levels of customer satisfaction and meet the Force standard for Customer Contact.
Ensure that PEOs are fully embedded into the Local Policing Team, are providing adequate support and have received appropriate training to enable them to undertake the tasks and responsibilities of the role.
Manage the shift rotas and annual leave allocation to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all locations to guarantee published opening hours. Undertake any or all of the functions of the PEO particularly during periods of high demand or to deal with short-term, unexpected staffing emergencies to meet operational needs.
Provide a source of professional expertise, guidance and support to PEOs, helping them deal with the more complex and challenging problems and situations, to develop their knowledge and skills through coaching and on-the-job training, to generally enhance the quality of service delivered to the customer.
Actively promote by example, a supportive and empathetic response to victims and witnesses and to other visitors to the Enquiry Office who may be from a different culture, disturbed, distressed or angry, so that all receive a fair, non-discriminatory and objective response appropriate to the urgency of the matter.
