Facilities Driver
Wiltshire Police is looking for a Facilities driver to join a dynamic and growing organisation. We are seeking a reliable and motivated person to join our team and support our daily operational needs within the Supplies department.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles for the transportation of goods, equipment, and personnel across multiple locations.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained cleaned and roadworthy.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials equipment and supplies as required.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick up of goods documents and equipment.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage mileage and fuel.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately.
- To be able to maintain documentation to good accurate level.
Qualifications and skills;
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver preferable.
- Knowledge of local roads.
- Abilities to lift and carry items.
- Excellent communications and organisation skills.
- A proactive reliable and safety conscious attitude.
- Ability to work flexibly and alone.
- Basic knowledge in the use of technology including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Use of trolleys and equipment. Manual handling course will be provided.
Full time, 37 hours per week Monday-Friday. No weekend working.
Various training modules will be provided.
