About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent part time (18 hours per week) Disclosure Decision Maker within the Force Disclosure Unit. This is an agile post, and whilst primarily home working there will be times when you will be required to work at Wiltshire Police Headquarters, Devizes, or elsewhere in the county.
Working in a supportive environment that offers opportunities for personal development and progression, the post holder/s will, after training both in-house and externally, join the existing Decision Makers within the Team in being a key point of contact in the Force regarding formal disclosure.
What you will be doing
- Research and retrieval of information from Force and national computer systems.
- Analyse and evaluate information in order to collate and prepare relevant disclosure documentation.
- Liaise with other departments internally within the Force and externally with partner agencies, courts, solicitors and members of the public regarding specific disclosure applications and the disclosure process in general.
- Making formal risk assessed disclosures to statutory bodies, courts, solicitors and members of the public, under various legislative and regulatory schemes, such as the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act.
