PIP2 Investigator
North Team CID are seeking to recruit a PIP2 Investigator to investigate a variety of serious and complex crimes and incidents. These include serious sexual offences, serious violence, High Risk Missing Persons and sudden death. We are seeking someone with experience of CID investigations or equivalent and applicants who are already PIP1 or PIP2 accredited.
Your development will mirror that of a Detective Constable. A PIP2 investigator can expect to receive the same training as a Detective Constable with the expectation that they lead the investigation of Serious & Complex Crime.
PIP2 Investigators hold designated powers to enable them to conduct searches and interviews.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across a Local Police Area or geographical hub and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
