Investigation Support Officer

Applications are welcomed for a challenging but highly rewarding role as an Investigative Support Officer within the Child Abuse Investigation Unit at Milton Keynes.
This is an exciting and challenging role, supporting a team responsible for the investigation of serious and complex crime, implementing safeguarding and working with a wide range of partner agencies. You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and resilient with excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop.
The essentials
- English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
- Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required on occasion.
- Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
