North West Regional Organised Crime Unit


The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR/Resourcing Officer to work within the NWROCU HR and DMS Team. As a HR Resourcing Officer you will provide an efficient and effective administration function in relation to all HR and DMS matters to all the NWROCU portfolios.

Applicants must hold the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

Level 3 Foundation Certificate or equivalent and an NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services.

The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales.  The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s Serious and Organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm.

The post is subject to an initial secondment of up to two years reviewable based on continuous funding and performance.
Successful applicants working within North West Regional Organised Crime Unit   will be subject to Management Vetting and enhanced SC Vetting prior to taking up post.  

The Grade of this role has been determined using the Merseyside HAY procedure and has been afforded a Merseyside Grade D. This equates to a salary range of £24,576 and £26,565. Successful applicants from other Regional Forces will be paid a salary within this range.

NWROCU is located in the Warrington area, close to good public transport links and the motorway network.  In cases where the commute to NWROCU is in excess of applicant’s current commute, excess travel will be paid.
