You'll need good spelling and grammar as well as attention to detail as you'll be recording daily interactions with detainees and completing forms.

Above all, you'll need to be able to communicate effectively with all kinds of people from all walks of life, many of whom are vulnerable or confrontational.

£20,355 (plus 10% shift allowance) once you’ve successfully completed the training course and a six month probationary period.

As custody is a 24/7 business you'll be required to work a full shift pattern (see below), for which you'll receive an additional 10% full shift pattern allowance (included in salary figure above).

Consideration will be given to where you live when we allocate your work locations although we are unable to guarantee you get the location of your choice.

In order to provide a countywide custody service on a daily basis, the role may require you to cover a variety of locations around the county.

Therefore it's essesntial you have access to a vehicle with the appropriate business us insurance.
