Intelligence Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tarian Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU). ROCUs form a critical part of the national policing network, providing a range of specialist policing capabilities to forces which help them to investigate, disrupt and dismantle serious and organised crime effectively. 

Tarian capabilities include the Tackling Organised Exploitation Programme (TOEX), undercover policing, specialist surveillance, cyber-crime investigation, and economic crime investigation. Tarian investigate and disrupt organised crime groups operating across police force boundaries. Additionally, we act as an important point of connection between police forces and the National Crime Agency (NCA). 

We are seeking to recruit a Regional Intelligence Analyst to work within the Regional Economic Crime Unit (RECU), as part of the wider ROCU Research and Analysis capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient analysis, to support both strategic and operational work tackling fraud, money laundering, corruption and asset recovery for serious and organised crime investigations across the Southern Wales region.

This role may require attendance at meetings and/or training at venues throughout the UK as well as travel within the Southern Wales Region.

We support and encourage flexible and agile working, and welcome applications from those interested in either full or part time (ideally over five days a week in order to maintain resilience).  You may have the flexibility to work from home in accordance with the requirements of the role and current working policies.  You may occasionally be required to work from other sites in the South Wales Region.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC level.
