We are looking for somebody to strike the right balance between maintaining an efficient and professional policing operation, whilst contributing to the commercial success of the Port of Dover.
The Police Inspector will plan, manage and monitor all policing activities in a highly specialised environment, using and developing the skills of existing police teams. The post hold will be the senior operational police officer for the Port of Dover and will be expected to be able to provide leadership to staff in the management of the entire policing operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Qualified to the rank of Inspector (qualification will be the College of Policing national approved assessment process, either OSPRE Part 1 and 2 or National Police Promotion Framework – NPPF)
Be able to demonstrate previous success in operational police management at the rank of Inspector
Experience of policing in crowded spaces and/or a counter terrorism protective security background
Have the ability to undertake advanced planning and subsequent delivery
Be driven by a desire to break new ground and succeed with your team
Creativity, energy and problem solving abilities are considered to be essential elements of this role.
