Police Officer Recruitment - now open!
We are now open for Police Officer recruitment.
To apply you must have the ability to demonstrate your potential to carry out the role of a Police Officer by providing evidence against key competency based questions as detailed on the application form.
Further information on the role of a Police Officer is available on the recruitment website, including the eligibly criteria, information on the selection process, training involved and guidance on completing the competency based application form, please ensure you read these documents before submitting your application.
In addition, the attached document will provide you with all the information you need to complete your application.
Please note, for Bedfordshire internal candidates, if you are currently a Communications Operator, Detention Officer or a PCSO you will need to have completed a minimum level of service in that role before you are able to apply. This is to ensure the Constabulary receives a return on investment on the training invested for your current role. This is 12 months for PCSO's and 18 months for both Communications Operators and Detention Officers.

Please note that although all applications received will undergo the shortlisting stage within a month from submission, the next step in the process (the virtual national assessment centre) will take place from September onwards. Should you be successful at all the selection and pre-employment stages you will be commencing training on intakes from early 2021.
