Police Officers - New recruits

As a police officer you’ll have to make difficult decisions every day. You’ll need empathy, common-sense and compassion as well as a desire to make a difference. We’ll train you to be a first class officer.

You’ll be a paid officer from day one, working alongside experienced officers. Over the course of a three year training period you’ll learn the essential skills needed to be a modern officer. Your training will be a mixture of on the job learning, classroom based study & personal research as part of the new Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA).

By the end of your training you’ll be fully qualified, with a degree in Professional Policing Practice.

We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and encourage anyone who has considered a career in policing to submit an application form. We are particularly keen to increase the number of women officers and officers from black and minority ethnic communities and candidates from the LGBT community to ensure our workforce represents the communities we serve.

We are currently open for expressions of interest ahead of our next campaign. To register your details please email PeopleServiceCentre-Policeofficerrecruiting@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk
