Information Support Officer
In this position, you will assist in the provision of information and administrative support to Criminal Justice Division and the wider Force.
This support will include dealing with areas of work related to the update of the Criminal History System (CHS) and Police National Computer (PNC) computer systems particularly with regard to case and court disposals and associated information; transmission of case files through use of ICRS.
Much of the work will revolve around data processing information, some paper-based or direct access to a variety of databases. You will interact with staff across the Force on a daily basis and also have direct dealings with other UK police forces and other Agencies across the country, in response to enquiries. You will regularly deal with information of a sensitive nature.
Formal accredited training will be provided, including that of a residential nature, supported by a significant ongoing refresher / peer training, reflective of the extensive knowledge base commensurate to the post.
You will be educated to SVQ1, SQA Standard Grade level (or equivalent). In lieu of qualifications relevant administrative/clerical experience is essential.
