You will take a crucial leadership role and be responsible for setting the workforce strategy to deliver on a range of initiatives to attract, retain and develop our current and future workforce. You will be joining at a time when there is a new Chief Constable and a real opportunity to shape the agenda moving forward – it’s an exciting time for the force.
Our People Services function is crucial to ensuring our 2000 officers and staff are equipped and enabled to succeed. Policing is complex and challenging, leading a team of talented individuals, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for our communities.
As an experienced people and OD professional with Chartered CIPD status, you will be a motivational leader with a clear vision of how you want to shape and motivate the team. Operating as part of the Chief Officer team, you will act as a strategic partner and trusted adviser to the Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner. You must therefore be able to effectively influence at this level.
