Police Scotland ICT Department is embarking on an ambitious programme to implement a range of 'enabling' technologies in support of operational policing. We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations & Support Officer to support a range of innovative developments, including Single National Network, Enterprise Mobility, Enterprise Resource Planning, Forensics, Cybercrime, Systems Integration and National Systems Developments.
You will be valued for your contribution in terms of providing 2nd line support for ICT systems, infrastructure and services to maintain business continuity and ensure that emerging business requirements for ICT Projects are delivered to customers within timescales, cost and quality expectations that fit with organisational goals, relevant legislation and ICT strategies under the direction of the Head of IT Operations and Chief Technology Officer.
As a successful Operations and Support Officer, you will be educated to HNC level in a computer related discipline or have a combination of relevant certified qualifications and experience. You are required to have knowledge in several technical areas including desktop support and have an expertise in Active Directory Users and Computers and Exchange Admin Center. Experience with Windows PowerShell, and Skype for Business Server is an advantage. Additionally, you will have experience of managing internal/external stakeholders, excellent communication and planning skills.
