Financial Investigator (Disruption Team)This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Financial Investigator to be involved in the investigation of suspicious financial transactions carried out by members of the criminal fraternity with a view to disrupting criminal enterprises and depriving criminals of illicitly obtained assets. The role holder will be expected to utilise their relevant skills to identify areas of disruption within Organised Crime Groups (OCG). This role involves both working a part of a team as well as an individual, often to time restraints.
A strong analytical ability is required to identify criminal assets and a sound knowledge of relevant financial legislation will be needed to investigate any offences. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills as a large part of the role will involve partnership working.
The role holder will work closely with HM Prisons Service to identify disruption opportunities involving OCG members who continue to commit criminality within the prisons.
The successful candidate will work with UK Border Force to protect our borders and minimise the risk of illegal commodities being imported/exported through our ports. As a subject matter expert, the successful candidate will provide advice on implementing financial investigation tactics and tools to disrupt organised criminal groups.
A positive attitude with a high degree of professionalism and integrity must be displayed by the successful candidate. A flexible approach to working hours and practices to meet the needs of the department is essential.

The post-holder will be expected to adapt to changing circumstances and therefore the outline of duties may change from time to time. This is reflected in the grade of the post supplied by the vacancy holder for all roles
