About ACRO:

ACRO Criminal Records Office is a national police unit, located between Portsmouth and Southampton and hosted within Hampshire Constabulary. ACRO keeps communities safe in the UK and across the world by providing a range of criminal record services. As a centre of excellence, we also deliver projects and services on behalf of the UK government, the UK police service and the European Commission.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Business Support team.

The successful applicant will have a proven admin experience of working in a busy customer focused office environment, with frequent contact with customers. A good working knowledge of using IT systems including MS Excel, MS Word, experience of maintaining manual and computerised filing systems and compiling management information using IT.

Job Purpose

To provide a range of administrative and reception duties to support the ACRO Business Support and Facilities department.

Essential Qualifications

QCF Level 2 At least 2 passes to include English and Mathematics OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

Proven admin experience in a busy, customer service focused office environment, with frequent direct contact with customers
Good working knowledge using IT systems including MS Excel and Ms Word. Accurate and fast data entry into IT Systems and record keeping (paper and electronic).
