Working for the Met doesn’t have to mean patrolling the streets. Just as important as our uniformed officers, are our 14,000-strong team, who provide professional support behind the scenes. Now, this is your chance to play a key role within the exciting and challenging area of counter terrorism policing.

You’ll put your flair for audio and touch typing to good use as you support our Counter Terrorism Police. A vital part of our team in our fast-paced environment, you’ll type hand-written documents and audio files onto the HOLMES 2 database and Microsoft Office applications.

To join us, you’ll need good organisational and IT skills. Experience of working in a police major incident room or of touch and audio typing or data input would be desirable but not essential. As long as you’re enthusiastic, efficient and resilient with the ability to work accurately at pace, we’ll provide all the in-house training you need.

If you’re ready and able to work long hours at short notice, you’ll enjoy great opportunities for training, development and promotion.

To apply, please submit completed online applications by Friday 25th January 2019.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
