We are looking for a Directorate Assistant to join our team and provide efficient and confidential support to senior leaders. This is a varied role that requires the ability to use your own initiative and manage your own workload. Your personal contribution of ideas, new ways of working, improvements and opportunities will be very much encouraged.
This role will include drafting and managing correspondence, producing reports and ensuring your principal is appropriately briefed on upcoming meetings and events. You will be required to attend meetings as directed, taking notes as necessary, deal with incoming correspondence to the management team, manage diaries, make appointments, arrange meetings and hospitality.
As part of this role you may also manage the personal assistants and therefore experience of managing a small team is advantageous, but not essential.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a secretarial or assistant role and have up to date working knowledge of IT packages. It is beneficial if you have experience of undertaking research from different sources and drafting briefing documents.
Working pattern – Flexible working, full time, part time and job share applications will be considered. Please specify if you are seeking an arrangement other than full time and how you anticipate this may be managed in the role you are applying for.
