This is a fantastic challenging opportunity to join a professional learning and development team as an operational policing trainer. We are looking for someone with a positive can do approach to learning. You should be a confident and competent trainer with the drive and enthusiasm to teach and facilitate learning using innovative and creative techniques.
We need you to be willing to maintain and enhance your own skills as an educator and work towards a Level 7 professional teaching qualification.
You will be expected to deliver training in a variety of subject areas and therefore quick to learn, adaptable and open to finding and creating new learning opportunities and situations with the development and support of operational knowledge.
You will demonstrate the ability to communicate with, and influence, staff and officers at all levels in the areas of learning and development.
Experience in the delivery of classroom based training and the coaching of individuals and groups is essential.
This role requires you to be flexible to travel around the county in order to deliver learning initiatives that meet the organisational need.
The successful candidate must have a proven understanding of the training process (learning needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and environmental scanning).
Experience of Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint and the ability to use creative audio/visual technologies in the training environment.
This role is based at Staffordshire Police Headquarters, Weston Road, Stafford ST18 0YY with a starting salary of £24,273.00 and will require travel to locations around Staffordshire and the Region.
