About the Role
Lincolnshire Police is committed to supporting the psychological health and wellbeing of our officers and staff. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Counsellor or CBT Therapist to join our dedicated Health and Care team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide evidence-based, confidential counselling and psychological support in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
What You’ll Do
As part of our Psychological Health team, you will:
- Deliver counselling for low to moderate psychological presentations, work-related stress, and comorbid conditions.
- Develop effective treatment plans based on psychological assessments.
- Complete triages for new referrals and identify appropriate support pathways.
- Attend referral meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary case discussions.
- Refer employees to other services where needed and provide advice and support.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality in line with professional and legal standards.
- Contribute to training initiatives to promote understanding of psychological health.
- Gather and report statistical data to support service planning.
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified Counsellor or CBT Therapist to Level 4 or equivalent.
- Membership with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, NCPS (or equivalent), accredited or working towards accreditation.
- Minimum of 500 supervised adult client hours post-qualification and at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong ethical practice, commitment to CPD, and adherence to professional guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
