Firearms Enquiry Officer - Police Staff
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team. A permanent vacancy has arisen for the role of Firearms Enquiry Officer within the Criminal Justice Department at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
The purpose of the role is to access, investigate and evaluate Licensing application for firearms on behalf of the organisation. To ensure that legislative requirements and environmental conditions are compiled with and to ensure that the acquisition, possession are control of explosives are in keeping with the Explosive Regulations 2014 in order to discharge the Chief Constable’s obligations of safeguarding the public.
The successful candidate will have skills or knowledge of Firearms Licensing responsibilities, have excellent communication skills and previous experience on the operation of computerised word processing, database systems and the ability to collate data and information accurately and efficiently. The postholder will be able to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision. It is also important to be able to prioritise you own workload in order to meet strict deadlines.
