Service Support Advisor - Hybrid
A Service Support Administrator within our IT Department is responsible for providing service support on our vast range of IT applications across the organisation. Whether that be taking and recording the details of faults and inefficiencies or problem solving and undertaking remedial actions, you will play a key part in ensuring our police IT systems are reliable and efficient.
The successful candidate will need a basic understanding of ITIL (IT Information Library) processes and preferably experience of working within an IT environment. This role is working in a fast paced environment, therefore the ability to work under pressure and adapting to changing priorities is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering, collating and reporting on service delivery activities. Keeping accurate records
- Maintain the problem, change and incident registers ensuring issues are escalated to appropriate managers within service level agreements.
- Monitoring and working with internal and external suppliers, administering and maintaining service catalogues.
- Undertaking developmental or remedial actions as directed in response to reviews or organisational feedback.
- Promoting an outstanding service to our customers, corresponding via email, telephone and written communication.
- Ensuring data quality for monthly reporting.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Basic knowledge of ITIL
- Demonstrable administration skills and experience
- Confident communicator with experience of liaising with people at all levels
- A good multi-tasker who can switch effortlessly from one task to another as priorities change and meet the deadlines.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, organised and methodical with attention to detail.
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience of working in an IT environment

Flexible hybrid working is available, you can work from home for a proportion of your week and also spend time with colleagues working in the office (some travel across the force area as required).
This is a part time opportunity working 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
Total 22.2 hours per week.
