About the Team

The UK International Crime Bureau (UKICB) is the focal point for all International enquiries in and out of the UK via the channels of INTERPOL, Europol and SIRENE.

Every day in UKICB is different, as you are responsible for facilitating and developing intelligence in relation to a variety of criminal activity; linking to National Crime Agency (NCA) priorities and threat areas.

UKICB processes all incoming and outgoing requests for extradition, and serves as the UK Central Authority for the European Arrest Warrant. Teams within UKICB focus on locating fugitives in the UK and abroad and work closely with the NCA and operational law enforcement in the UK.

You will be working in a dynamic environment prioritising and managing expectations of both UK and International partners, while delivering a quality service to meet customer needs. You will require a flexible approach, adapting to fluctuating demands and priorities which could range from simple intelligence checks to complex crimes in action.

Role Summary

You will be responsible for:

A wide variety of casework management. This involves liaising with UK and International Partners, disseminating intelligence packages, assessing risk and applying UK Legislation in a fast paced demanding environment.

The UKICB operates from 07.00 until 18.00 and your daily hours of duty will be within that range depending on the requirements of the business.

The salary for this position is £26,536. Where existing Civil Servants apply on transfer to the NCA at the equivalent grade, pay principles on Civil Service transfers will apply. All other salary offers will be made at the advertised amount.

This role is open to External candidates & Civil Servants on lateral & promotion basis.
