Police Entry Routes
There are four entry routes into policing. To find out which one will be your chosen route visit our website to read more about each one - https://www.northwales.police.uk/police-forces/north-wales-police/areas/careers/careers/police-officers/entry-routes/
- If you would like to be paid to study for a degree and work you can join on the apprenticeship route, 3 year probation (PCDA)
- If you have a degree you can join on the degree entry programme, 2 year probation (DHEP)
- If you have a Professional Policing Degree you can join via this route, 2 year probation (PPD)
- If you have no degree and no desire to study for a degree you can join our new Police Constable Entry Programme, 2 year probation (PCEP)

Welsh language skills
You will need to demonstrate starter level Welsh language speaking skills during the pre employment stage. Full support for this will be provided by ourselves. Please do not be discouraged if you are not a welsh speaker as full support with improving your welsh language skills is provided throughout your training.

Assessment centres will be held for eligible candidates in either December 2024 or March 2025 to fill positions in the June 2025 and September 2025 intakes.
